Ode to Pictoralists 2017 - 2019

My biggest inspiration are the photographs from the Pictorialist period, mainly the works of of Julia Margaret Cameron, Alfred Steiglitz, Edward Steichen and Anne Brigman. The thread that ties this work to my other works are the themes, sometimes mythological and symbolic -  the questioning of one’s faith, dealing with aging, beauty, and life transitions even if personal were shown even from that time period.

The Ode to the Pictorialists series is an on-going series because, as I work on other series, some of the images naturally lend itself to the this series.
