Butterflies symbolize change and transition. While we naturally evolve as we live our lives, it seems, for me, that changes happened very quickly over the last 18 years. I went from one toxic environment to another, then moving to another country where adapting and transitioning had to take place rapidly left me having difficulties settling in one place psychologically, emotionally. As I battle voices in my head and wanting to both ground myself and fly away simultaneously, these butterflies are still not settled.
