In 2002, technology began to find its place in our society in a very important way, especially in modern art, it pushed AnnMarie’s artistic tastes further toward the classics in art, especially the Old Masters. She was also drawn to the themes of comedy and tragedy not only in art but in literature as well.

This was the first time AnnMarie used other models in some of the images as well as some of the first uses of symbolism which led to this series taking on mythological, erotic and spiritual themes. The mask she is wearing played an important role as well being one of the first psychological aspects to her work; the one tear representing complex emotions inside of her.

This short series ended quickly as she had the desire to move on to other projects.
